Zip It Up!

Schaffert Mfg., has introduced the new Zipper closing wheel to do a better job of sealing seed furrows with little compaction and the ability to work in high residue fields.

Published: Oct 6, 2010

Schaffert Mfg., of Indianola, Nebraska, has launched its new Zipper closer wheel for 2011 planting chores.

The Zipper's design helps close seed furrows gently with very little compaction, and provides a very long life from the heavy-duty cast material and an angled mounting which prevents plugging.

The Zipper closer wheel can replace a rubber closer wheel or Schaffert offers just the "zipper" ring to mount on existing closers.

For more information, visit www.schaffert.com.

Schafferts new Zipper closing wheel feathers soil into the furrow with minimal compaction and works well in tough soil conditions.
