Yetter Manages Residue On The Twin Row

Single-wheel residue manager designed for for Deere's newer twin-row planters.

Yetter Manufacturing just released its new 2966 Twin Row Residue Manager for use on John Deere's newer hydraulic-drive twin-row planters.

The 2966 is available in right- or left-hand models, and growers can choose between the patented SharkTooth design or one of the other wheel options. The single-arm design places the residue manager wheel at a slight angle for more effective clearing of residue in front of tru-vee openers during planting.

The new tool uses an acme screw to easily adjust down stop, either from in front of the row unit or with an extension wrench from the top of the row unit. This time-saving feature allows growers to set each residue manager to a specific setting for each field's conditions. The residue managers also can be raised and locked into storage position if they are not needed.

An additional feature on the 2966 is an aluminum floater band on the residue manager wheel, designed to enable the unit to follow soil contours.

The twin row residue manager is mounted on a heavy-duty cast-iron hub that features greaseable, double-row ball bearings for extended service life.
