USDA Hotline Will Be Open on Thanksgiving

Questions about proper and safe meal preparation available.

All food safety experts at the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline will be manning their posts on Thanksgiving answering questions about preparing the meal.

Diane Van helps run the hotline and says they receive about 1000 calls on Thanksgiving Day. The food safety experts will be there from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Eastern time. The number to call is 1 800-MPHOTLINE.
