USDA is awarding $974,000 to universities in six states to research methods of combating invasive pests and diseases. Universities in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Nevada are receiving funding through USDA's Economic Research Service to study the economic effects and efficiency of strategies to prevent, control, or eradicate invasive pests.
