Updated Weekly Basis and Transportation Review

It's hard to look on the bright side after a week when commodity prices plummeted across a broad spectrum of markets. The only silver lining to those dark clouds wasn't much, either. Basis did strengthen a little in some markets due to lower transportation costs. However, given the magnitude of the break on the board — both for grains and energy — the decline was little more than a drop in the bucket. And basis in some markets continued to weaken, adding insult to injury.
