Toshiba, America, Inc., has introduced the P9 adjustable speed drive for pumping system ranging from fractional horsepower pumps to those driven by up to 10,000 hp.
The circuitry of the P9 allows an operator to control flow, pressure and pump speed automatically after inputting several variables to the unit. Toshiba says the P9 optimizes pumps and their systems to reduce pressure buildup and energy consumption, and prevent loss of suction, cavitation and dead head conditions.
