Thursday’s Grain Stocks report had bearish data for Sept. 1 corn stocks, sending futures sharply lower on the open. But prices tried to recover in part because traders wonder if USDA counted new crop corn from an early fall harvest as part of 2009 carryout. Market Analyst Arlan Suderman and Senior Editor Bryce Knorr discuss the reports and their fallout, during a volatile week.

Please provide the answer to the following question:

If corn yields continue to come in be below expectations as harvest moves into higher producing areas, the stocks report will be a mute issue. If it becomes evident that the average yield will be 2-3 bushels less the market has a problem when you caluate production of the 2011 crop. Herm Nebraska
