The Buzz: Battles Lines Drawn

Arlan Suderman and Bryce Knorr discuss factors affecting the markets.
Compiled by staff
Published: Nov 18, 2009
Bulls and bears are always duking it out in the marketplace. But the divergence of opinions about the future direction of prices is especially strong right now. The Farm Futures marketing team of Bryce Knorr and Arlan Suderman discussed the factors swinging trading at this uncertain time in their weekly video program, The Buzz. Knorr noted that some traders who have been selling the dollar and buying commodities are having second thoughts after officials at the Federal Reserve voice support for the greenback this week. Suderman noted the big government budget deficits aren't likely to slow weakness in the currency longer-term, though short-term volatility could be intense.
