Tensions Ease as Europe Grapples with Debt
Greece gets a new prime minister, Italy set to change at the top and austerity measures are going into place. (audio)

Weak European countries may finally be getting their act together, helping ease tensions and allowing markets to mostly move higher overnight. A new government is set to be sworn in over in Greece, while new leadership could be ready in Italy as soon as Saturday if austerity measures are approved there. That could shift the market’s focus back to the U.S. where questions about demand may run into worries about the congressional “super committee” and its ability to find cuts to the federal deficit.
