Sukup Manufacturing is now building a medium duty hopper bin for general on-farm use, where growers might want a more economical choice than the company's well-known heavy-duty bins.
The new line of bins features Sukup's bin stiffeners for legs that extend nearly to the second ring of the bin for extra sidewall support. Fifteen- and 18-foot diameter medium duty bins have three legs per sidewall sheet, while the 21-foot version has four legs per sheet.
The sheets for the hopper portion of the medium-duty bin attach directly to the sidewall sheets, so there is no ledge or lip to trap grain. The hopper sheets are galvanized and bolt together.
