Sukup Designs Answer For Keeping Elevator Legs Straight

Squaring plates and alignment pins make erecting elevator legs much easier and precise.

Published: Jan 16, 2012

Sukup Mfg. Co. has taken some of the hair-pulling frustration out of building bucket elevator legs with a new patent-pending system of squaring plates and alignment pins.

The plates and pins work together to hold pieces in place during construction, eliminating the need for "third hands" by those doing the building. The squaring plates are fastened to the top and bottom of every pair of legs. The plates hold the legs firmly in place, eliminating the twisting that commonly occurs without the use of these reinforcements.

The alignment pins are mounted to the squaring plate on the upper section, so the worker can guide the pins into holes in the lower plate with relative ease. The system comes standard on all Sukup Bucket Elevators and ensures a straight-on connection before the sections are bolted together.

Squaring plates and aligning pins make Sukups new system for building legs for bucket elevators a "must have" for precise construction.
