NCGA is holding sessions to help utilize social media to tell agriculture's story.

The National Corn Growers Association is preparing for the first in a series of 2011 Social Media Training Programs. The first program is scheduled for Thursday, January 20 at 10:30 a.m. CST. Additional programs are scheduled for each successive month during the year.  Presenters during the first webinar will review the "return on investment" of engaging in social media and how it fits within the context of agriculture. Instructors will also review how it is being used successfully by others in the industry and show participants how they can track their personal social media success.

NCGA Grower Services Action Team Chair Brandon Hunnicutt, a farmer in Nebraska, is very active in using Facebook and Twitter.  He says there is great value for the industry in developing a corps of farmers savvy in social media to engage in public discussions about today's agriculture.
