Senate Ag Leadership Named
The ag committee sets up positions for subcommittees.

The Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry has announced new subcommittee leadership positions. The committee, chaired by Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., guides ag-related legislation through to Congress.
According to wire reports, Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., will assume chairmanship of the Subcommittee on Rural Revitalization, Conservation, Forestry and Credit.
Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, and former committee chair, will take the seat on the Subcommittee on Rural Revitalization, Conservation, Forestry and Credit; the Subcommittee on Hunger, Nutrition, and Family Farms; and the Subcommittee on Production, Income Protection and Price Support - those seats were previously held by Lincoln.
Sen. Michael Bennett, D-Colo., assumes chairmanship of the Subcommittee on Energy, Science and Technology.
