The National Chicken Council reports that Russia's Customs Union Commission has approved a tariff-rate quota of 350,000 metric tons for poultry for 2011. Belarus and Kazakhstan set their poultry TRQs at 15,000 and 110,000 tons, respectively. There was no indication of country-specific allocations.
The TRQ includes frozen, deboned chicken meat, frozen bone-in chicken halves or quarters, frozen bone-in legs and parts thereof, and frozen deboned turkey meat. The quota doesn't provide for whole-carcass poultry and does not have country-specific allocations, contrary to the past several years.
Also, Russia has set its pork TRQ is 472,000 metric tons. Belarus and Kazakhstan pork TRQs are set at 60,000 and 7,400 tons, respectively. And Russia's beef TRQ is 530,000 metric tons. While, Belarus and Kazakhstan set theirs at 5,000 and 10,000 tons, respectively.
