Further evidence the worst of the recession is over has investors looking for places to put their cash. That money flow helps lift most asset classes, from stocks to commodities.
If that scenario sounds familiar it is. The flood of cash and willingness to take risk fueled the run to record prices little more than a year ago. But there's a big difference this time around.
First off, there's less cash to go around. Much of the world's wealth evaporated in the market collapse when asset values disappeared.
The other source of liquidity — leverage — is also less available.
