Dairy producers and the public have until Dec. 26 to comment on a proposed rule published in the Federal Register this week. The rule would set how the Dairy Disaster Assistance Program III would be administered. DDAP-III provides $16 million to help dairy producers recover losses between Jan. 1, 2005 and Feb. 28, 2007. Comments may be made on proposed eligibility requirements, proof of production history, loss determinations, payment rates, payment rate calculations, appeals and other program provisions.
The volume, date and page number of the issue of the Federal Register should be included in comments. To submit comments, click HERE.
