Producer Input Needed to Help Improve PQA Plus Program

Version 2.0 is coming in 2013.
Compiled by staff
Published: Oct 18, 2011

The Checkoff's Pork Quality Assurance Plus program was founded on the concept of continuous improvement. As the National Pork Board prepares to revise and release version 2.0 of the PQA Plus program in 2013, Checkoff staff is asking for your help.

In addition to the aggregated data from the past five years of site assessments and the 2011 third-party verification process, the National Pork Board would like to hear from the people who use the program the most about where improvements to content can be made. Your feedback will be used by the Pork Checkoff Swine Welfare Committee to make changes to the Good Production Practice #10 (Provide Proper Swine Care to Improve Swine Well-Being) and the site assessment.

Whether you are a producer, PQA Plus Advisor, packer or customer, PQA Plus is an important part of your business.  Please help us keep the program workable, affordable and credible for all parties of the pork chain by providing your feedback here:

The survey includes 20 questions and will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. You may begin the survey and return to complete it at a later date/time by clicking the link above.

For more information, contact Sherrie Niekamp at SNiekamp@pork.org or at (515) 223-3533.
