Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, now offers a mobile-optimized version of www.pioneer.com, allowing growers to access crop management resources, customized information and other tools from the field.

Pioneer is providing a mobile platform that delivers crop-production-focused information growers can use to make management decisions on the go," says Monica Patterson, Pioneer senior marketing manager, technology launch. "Just type www.pioneer.com into your mobile device to access the site everywhere you grow."

Mobile Pioneer.com is optimized for iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, Blackberry and feature phones. It uses technology that provides geography-specific content, reducing the steps required to reach useful content.

As growers continue to rely on their mobile devices to access information, Mobile Pioneer.com takes customer engagement to another level," Patterson says. "It features game-changing functionality, especially with its extensive agronomy resources."

To help identify pests while scouting in the fields, growers can access a robust collection of crop management guides. The site also offers a mobile growing degree unit calculator. It asks growers to enter their location and plant date to receive accumulated GDUs and historical data on a field-level basis.

Pioneer customers have the ability to securely access their field-by-field records, including Pioneer FIT Field Planner proposals, FIT As-Planted data as well as information from the online Record Keeping system," Patterson says. "Customers can use these tools while they're on the go to track growth stages, accumulated GDUs and precipitation."

In addition, Mobile Pioneer.com offers local markets, including local cash bids and commodity futures plus local weather forecasts and animated radar. To learn more about the new, mobile-optimized website, visit with a local Pioneer sales professional. For technical questions, call Pioneer.com Support at 1-800-233-7333 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday.
