Great Plains Manufacturing kicked off it's 2011 equipment lineup at a Kansas City dealer meeting this week, including the new Nutri-Pro fertilizer bar.
The Nutri-Pro, available in 30- and 40-foot working width models, which fold to 17 feet for transport, can be used for preplant anhydrous or liquid fertilizer applications, or for post-emergence side dressing. The machine is available with a choice of closing options or "sealers" for keeping anhydrous in place after knifing. Producers can choose from double concaved discs, spring-loaded berm conditioners or angled spider wheel conditioners, depending upon their soil type and residue conditions.
The business end of the Nutri-Pro incorporates a leading coulter followed by an anhydrous knife, a single 20-inch Vantage I liquid coulter, or a double row-cleaner three-coulter system (see photo).

Great Plains Mfg.'s new Nutri-Pro fertilizer bar offers growers three way flexibility for liquid or anhydrous application. The Nutri-Pro is ideal for producers who want to pre-apply nitrogen, then precision plant directly over the top with RTK guidance.
The bar is available as a floating tongue pull-type, three-point, or semi-mounted with lift assist wheels (see photo).

This three-coulter system is one option on the Nutri-Pro, which can be used for preplant nitrogen applications or for postemergent side dressing. For more information, contact Great Plains at (785) 823-3276, or visit www.greatplainsmfg.com.
