New World Soybean Production Record Set by Missouri Farmer
Cullers broke his own record with a yield of 160.6 bushels per acre.

Kip Cullers, a farmer from Purdy, Mo., has broken his own world record for soybean yield. The 160.6 bushel per acre is more than six bushels more than the record he set in 2007. The Missouri Soybean Association held a ceremony in Southern Missouri Tuesday announcing Cullers new record. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon was on hand for the ceremony and said Cullers has taken soybean growing to a whole new level.
"On behalf of the 100 Bushel Club, Missouri Soybean Association and the people of the state of Missouri it was my pleasure to announce that Kip Cullers has set a new world record for soybean production at 160.6 bushels per acre," Nixon said. "Make no mistake, agriculture is the backbone of the Missouri economy. Missouri farmers like Kip Cullers feed, fuel and clothe the world."
Nixon went on to talk about the strength of soybeans in Missouri, which is the home for the National Center for Soybean Technology, the American Soybean Association, the United Soybean Board, U.S. Soybean Federation and the National Biodiesel Board.
"All of these point to clearly the state of Missouri is strong in this area and getting stronger," Nixon said. "Kip Cullers represents the best of the best of soybean production in our state, and he has set the bar high for everybody."
