New Tool for Aquatic Weed Control

Alligare, LLC, says it's Fluridone-based Magnacide H is now approved for use in the U.S. aquatic market to fight a number of aquatic weeds in ponds, lakes and other bodies of water.

Fluridone provides effective control of submersed and floating vascular aquatic vegetation and some algae varieties including duckweed, Brazilian elodea, cabomba, curlyleaf pondweed, Eurasian water milfoil, hydrilla, and salvina.  The product's selectivity is dependent upon dosage, timing, stages of growth, application technique and water velocity.

Magnacide H represents one of the first post-patent Fluridone formulations.
