New Hooded Sprayer Aims at Pigweed

Willmar Fabrication unit allows spraying middles while directed sprays point at row.

Published: Feb 16, 2011

In the South where glyphosate-resistant pigweed is threatening the very existence of some farms Willmar Fabrication's new 915 Hooded Sprayer offers a new weapon in the fight.

Willmar says cotton farmers helped design this spray hood which allows application of herbicides in the row middles to control escaped weeds at the same time a directed spray is pointed into the row itself.

The new hoods are available in 16, 22 and 30-inch widths and come pre-punched for use with 4, 5, and 7-inch toolbars.

For more information on the innovation visit www.wilmarfab.com.

The 915 Hooded Sprayer by Willmar Fabrication is aimed at improving weed control in fields with resistant pigweed.
