New Honda Four Wheeler For Work and Play

Honda's new FourTrax Foreman Rubicon joins the company's broad line up of ATVs and other off-road vehicles for 2012, and you can see one in the showroom this month.
The machine adds to Honda's full-size, multipurpose ATV lineup, along with the Rincon, and comes with a 499 cc liquid-cooled, naturally-aspirated engine mated with an electronically-controlled automatic hydro-mechanical continually-variable transmission. The transmission allows full automatic use, or features a shiftable component to allow operator choices of gears.
Honda's new FourTrax Foreman Rubicon comes to the lineup with excellent off-road capabilities, a 499 cc single cylinder OHV engine, and a fully automatic hydro-mechanical constantly-variable transmission. Power is supplied fore and aft with direct drive shafts and the front differential is a limited slip (TraxLok 2WD/4WD) and torque-sensitive unit. The Rubicon also can be equipped with Honda's electric power steering.
Suspension on the Rubicon is a double-wishbone front arrangement with 6.7 inches of travel, and the rear is supported by a swingarm supported by dual shock absorbers that allow 6.7 inches of travel there.
Stopping power is supplied by front discs and a sealed mechanical drum on the rear wheels.
Towing capacity is 850 pounds.
The Rubicon carries 4.7 gallons and can be purchased in red, natural gear camo or an olive finish.
