In Philadelphia on Saturday the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council is joining with several entertainment and fuel companies to announce Music is Our Oil, a world tour that will send American music stars to oil producing countries to trade their musical talents for 20 million barrels of oil.
The oil will be converted to gas cards that will be distributed by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to 3.2 million Americans.
"The rising cost of energy has created a strain on all consumers across the country. Through the Music is Our Oil program we will not only be dispensing gas cards, but we'll also be encouraging consumers to fill up with E10," said Toni Nuernberg, executive director of EPIC.
