The nation's midsection has had a few days of warmer drier weather, but unfortunately according to USDA meteorologist Eric Luebehusen that won't last.
"We expect a strong spring storm to develop across the central High Plains," Luebehusen says. "This is going to be a very slow moving storm. From Thursday into Saturday it will more or less track from Kansas into Wisconsin."
Heavy rains are predicted for the Mississippi Valley and Central Corn Belt along with rain and possibly snow north of the system.
"The wet weather is going to return for much of the country and coupled with that is the potentially severe weather from the Delta north into the middle Mississippi River Valley," says Luebehusen. "It looks like we're going to see some more flooding before conditions improve."
