McCrometer Strengthens McPropeller Flow Meters

Beefier meter design, coupled with digital registers marks advances in engineering.

Published: Dec 7, 2011

McCrometer recently redesigned its McPropeller Flow Meter with added protection against water damage and sand and grit, and an upgraded bearing assembly to increase its load capacity.

With what the company calls UltraShield Technology, the flow meter features a more durable bearing assembly, an improved standard canopy design, transmitter and digital register to prevent water intrusion. Other features include a standard lid spring and an optional canopy boot for the standard canopy or digital register designed to ward off the elements in remote installations.

Better shielding from water damage and improved bearings make McPropeller Flow Meters from McCrometer a tougher competitor in irrigation fields where water flow needs to be accurately monitored.

A digital package is available with a digital register and canopy cover, along with  RemoteCONNECT Ready Packages which equip the meter with a pulse output for easy connection to McCrometer's RemoteCONNECT telemetry system.

McCrometer's McPropeller flow meters come in a variety of configurations and sizes, with bolt-on saddle, fixed ell, removable ell and open flow designs.

The McCrometer meters require no electrical power and measure the flow across almost the entire cross-sectional area of the pipe for accuracy.
