In the future all 100+ horsepower engines in Massey Ferguson tractors will be Agco Sisu Power engines, marking a move away from the popular Perkins powerplant used over the past 30 years.
Rene Boivin, product marketing manager for utility, specialty and mid-range tractors says, the transition to Agco Sisu engines allows the company to benefit from using its own proven, highly-efficient and reliable engines.
Eight MF models are being affected by the swap to the 66 CTA Agco Sisu Power diesel engine. They include: MF5465, MF5475, MF6565, MF6475, MF6480, MF7465, MF7475, and MF7480. The new-to-the-models Sisu engine is Tier III emissions compliant and comes standard with four-valves per cylinder, electronic high-pressure common rail fuel injection, and a pivoting cooling package.
Massey Ferguson says the Sisu powerplants will be subject to availability during the phase in period.

After reading this article I have to say:
Massey Ferguson is not a company, nor is it a division. It is simply a name brand, nothing more. The real company is AGCO. So why the deception? Are you that ignorant or are you doing AGCO's bidding? If AGCO wants to change their name to Massey Ferguson, as many suspect they will, such propaganda in front of that name change is exactly what this article is.
Oh and BTW, in the 2 quarters since the dropping of the orange, AGCO NA sales have dropped while the other manufactures have held steady or improved... Posted by TY on August 27 at 8:48 AM
