Lincoln Repowers the Outback 145 Welder
New power, three-year engine warranty highlight portable welder.

Several years ago, Lincoln Electric created the Outback 145 as a welder/generator set for construction sites, farms and ranches and home owner use. The machine has served well and has just received an update on the engine side.
New Outbacks are equipped with an overhead cam Kohler engine rated at 9.5 horsepower that boasts a three-year warranty, iron cylinder sleeve and an automatic shutdown for low-oil conditions.
The Outback's generator provides 145 amps of smooth DC welding output for use with up to 1/8" stick electrodes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron and hardfacing projects. It's controlled by a single full-range calibrated output dial for easy adjustments.
Lincoln Electric has upgraded the Outback 145 with a new overhead cam Kohler engine. The Outback comes with a 3-year engine warranty and welds at 145 amps. As a power supply, the Outback packs 4,750 watts of peak power, and a 4,250-watt continuous rating for running grinders, lights, pumps, etc. The unit's 240 VAC receptacle is also handy for running several of Lincoln's compact MIG wire welders without an adapter.
The Outback carries 6.8 gallons of fuel for extended run times, and features a wide filler opening for safer, less spillage-prone fuel transfers.
For portability the 234-pound welder/generator is designed with low-lift grab bars and a rugged 1 1/4" diameter steel tubing frame.
