Published: Dec 7, 2009

Lincoln Electric has introduced the Viking auto-darkening welding helmet as a light-weight, high-quality item for light industrial, agriculture and hobbiest use. The new Viking weighs 18.2 ounces and offers a continuously variable range of shading from 9-13 and a host of reaction times and the dark-back-to-light state. The solar-powered helmet means no batteries and it has a "grind mode" which allows grinding without flipping the helmet up.

The Viking is available in "Tribal" design, shown, and black, and is capable of being equipped with a "cheater" magnifying lens.

Lincoln Electrics new Viking auto-darkening welding helmet offers extremely light weight and full instant darkening for shades 9-13 and a "grind mode."
