Seasonal price charts aren't an absolute predictor of future trends — nothing in marketing is that simple. But they're a good guide to go by, and that guide says they winter wheat market is running out of time.
Supplies likely aren't getting much bigger, but there are no indications they're getting any smaller. Spring wheat flooding and lower production around the world could eventually produce good post-harvest rallies to buy 2010 acres as supplies tighten.
But rally potential is limited into harvest, without help from other markets, unless crop conditions take a dramatic turn for the worse.
