The new ICON AG-10 scraper is designed for agricultural use and brings 10 years of commercial earthmoving experience with it to the farm along with a 10-yard capacity.
Gary Douglas, ICON Industries product support manager, says the Ag-10 provides a heavy-duty box scraper/carryall that is sized for agriculture. The new model has many of the same features as larger industrial models, including ICON's patented Swing Wall that ensures smooth, clean and rapid ejection cycles.
The front gate and eject walls are finished in dirt-resisting epoxy to remain efficient even in the stickiest of soils and materials.
Unlike most pull-type scapers, the AG-10 uses a front dolly that improves maneuverability and helps support the load -- allowing the use of an average size farm tractor. A pair of 20,000-pound hubs on the rear and two 12,000-pound hubs on the dolly provide a total loaded weight of 44,000 pounds -- 10 tons of carrying capacity.
