John Deere adds two new subcompact tractors in its 1 Series line. The two models - the 1023E at 23 engine horsepower and the 1026R at 26 engine hp offer users a range of features. The E - for economy - series has many of the base features of the R. But R buyers will get the bigger engine, a better seat and operating station. The models can power front-, mid- and rear-mount power takeoff equipment and can use more than 100 attachments from the company's Frontier line. Base price for the 1023E is $11,300. Base price for the 1026R is $12,600. The 1023E replaces the 2305 in the company's lineup. Visit your local John Deere dealer or www.johndeere.com.
