Grassley Mentions Pending FTAs in Hearing on China

Refusing to act on deals is neither good trade nor foreign policy.

Senator Chuck Grassley took the opportunity Wednesday to press the Obama Administration on still-stalled trade deals with Colombia, Panama and South Korea. During a Finance Committee hearing regarding the U.S.-China Trade Relationship Grassley noted that he's yet to see any sign the Administration is making a serious effort to implement those pending trade agreements despite assertions the President wants to strengthen our economic relations with those countries. Refusing to act on those pending deals Grassley said is inexplicable as a matter of either good trade policy or appropriate foreign policy.
