Gehl Launches Compact Track Loaders

RT175 and RT210 sport new automatic track tensioning system to eliminate wrenching.

The RT Series by Gehl includes a pair of new compact track loaders which carry the company's patented HydraTrac Automatic Track Tensioning System, which eliminates manual tensioning chores by replacing all that with a hydraulic cylinder that adjusts as needed every time the machine is started.

In addition, the HydraTrac system automatically adjusts the undercarriage as needed during use to keep the tracks pulling evenly and reducing component wear.

The RT machines are powered with turbocharged diesel engines rated at 179 ft. lbs. of torque for the RT175, and 206 ft. lbs. of torque for the RT210. Both machines benefit from Gehl's AntiStall technology which senses machine load continuously and adjusts the hydrostatic drive pump displacement to manage the available horsepower and torque. The system optimizes machine performance during heavy-duty cycles, but does not allow the engine to stall  -- resulting in faster cycle times and less wear and tear on the engine, battery and starter.

The new RT210 is one of two new compact track loaders introduced recently by Gehl with industry-leading features. The RT210 and RT175 both have an automatic track tensioning system that tensions tracks every time the machine is started.

The standard Electro-Hydraulic 5X5 Drive Control System gives the operator the option for five drivability settings that change five control settings (joystick sensitivity, position reaction, engine response, anti-stall and pump swash plate position) to custom adjust the "feel" of the machine to the operator.

The RT Series ride on a welded, dedicated track loader chassis instead of a skid-loader frame with bolt-on tracks.

The new series is the result of research and development in West Bend, Wis., and is manufactured in Yankton, So. Dak.
