USDA Farm Service Agency officials will give the latest update on the most recent signup of the Conservation Reserve Program on Tuesday. Sign-up for this round of CRP closed three weeks ago and was the first sign-up for CRP in the last four years.
"CRP is the nation's largest private land conservation program," said Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. "For nearly 25 years CRP has helped this nation build sound conservation practices that preserve the soil, clean our environment and restore nature's homes for animals and birds."
