Ammonia prices for summer delivery fell again this week, suggesting producers filling up on-farm storage should find relative bargains compared to prices paid earlier this year. But not all prices are falling, with urea still firming.
Most prices have begun their seasonal declines, with farmers around the world already locked into purchases. While ammonia prices were flat at the Gulf this week, the fell slightly out of the Black Sea, the major international pricing point. Current terminal prices suggest a farmgate price of $403 to $458 per ton for fresh supplies, according to Farm Futures' pricing model.
