Farm Credit, a national provider of financing and related services to agricultural producers and agribusinesses, has published an inaugural Community Impact Report in celebration of the important work being done by its partner organizations.  This eight-page publication is now available online, and highlights success stories from the people and organizations that receive national contributions support from Farm Credit.

The organizations featured in the Community Impact Report are America's HeartlandAmerican Farm Bureau FederationAnnie's ProjectNational 4-H CouncilNational Cattleman's Beef AssociationNational FFA OrganizationThe Executive Program for Agricultural Producers, and The National Milk Producers Federation.

"Farm Credit is continuing its legacy of supporting agricultural programs that benefit the communities in rural America," said Christina Bowen, director of national contributions for Farm Credit. "Our national contributions program enables our partner organizations to provide the education, research, training and information-sharing critical to a successful future for farmers, ranchers and the agriculture industry."

Additionally, the Farm Credit National Contributions Program announced more than $500,000 in new financial contributions for the third quarter of the year to support national agricultural programs. Farm Credit has committed $810,065 toward its goal of providing $2 million in national contributions support in 2011. Farm Credit's national contributions complement the millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours given annually by the five banks and 84 associations within the Farm Credit System to support local and regional programs.

"Farm Credit supports and encourages the growth of women in agriculture," said Helen Norris, AFBF Women's Leadership participant. "Without sponsorships, this opportunity for learning and networking for women in agriculture would not be possible."

The Farm Credit National Contributions Program's application deadline for the fourth quarter is Nov. 1, 2011.  Qualified applicants are invited to apply today at www.farmcredit.com.  Click on the "Apply for Grants and Sponsorships" button.
