Eye On Your Soil

OpticMapper from Veris you can develop that map layer as you measure electrical conductivity.
Compiled by staff
Published: Mar 21, 2011
Veris Technologies, creator of the on-the-go tool for measuring electrical conductivity in your soil, has a new tool—wedged in between those closing wheels—that can measure soil organic matter on-the-go. This measurement, which can impact fertilizer and crop protection performance has been difficult to do in the past, but with the OpticMapper from Veris you can develop that map layer as you measure EC. The sensor is mounted in a special planter row unit and you can measure those two key measures at one time. The OpticMapper is a $6,600 addition to the Veris machine. For more information, call (785) 825-1978 or visit www.veristech.com. OpticMapper
