The Environmental Protection Agency has scheduled a press conference at 12:30 p.m. CDT Wednesday to address the waiver request that was made last year to allow the blending of 15% ethanol in gasoline.
According to The Wall Street Journal EPA will announce the approval for use of E15 for automobiles from 2007 and newer. Further testing is being conducted on cars manufactured between 2001 and 2006, but sources say that a separate announcement on those models will be made later this year.
We will update this information following the official EPA announcement.
