Cut Fertilizer Bill

New control system stops fertilizer flow on end-rows to reduce overlap and waste.
Compiled by staff
Published: Nov 2, 2010

If you can prevent dropping seed on end rows, why not save money by zapping fertilizer drip too?

Do it using Richway’s Planter Fertilizer Control system. You need either air or electric clutches. It’s compatible with GPS. Pinch valves for pop-up systems with air clutches are $80 per row, plus you’ll need a flow-rate controller for the planter, priced at $1,060 to $1,200.

Get exact prices from Richway Industries, Ltd., Janesville, Iowa, 800-553-2404, or www.richway.com.

Anybody here aware of a product called "AGgrand"? Curious about how it goes through the nozzles as is liquid organic concentrate that is diluted 35-40:1 Since it's not chemical, it will produce higher yields at less cost.
