National Association of Conservation Districts President Steve Robinson testified before a House Agriculture Subcommittee last week saying technical assistance delivery is the most critical element to conservation program participation and conservation practice delivery in America. He says conservation districts support full funding for NRCS to meet the growing demand and need for technical assistance, stating conservation districts are already leveraging federal funding to accelerate conservation application on the ground.
In his testimony Robinson told the Committee producers need quality technical assistance to maximize the effectiveness of the financial assistance they receive. He notes many producers still need technical help to ensure proper land quality practices without financial help.
