Due to difficulties in the dissemination of price quotes, the Chicago Board of Trade halted trading in the open auction markets from 10:41 a.m. to 11:20 a.m Tuesday morning.
Traders began noticing problems with their quote systems shortly after 10 a.m. When initial attempts to fix the issue failed, trading was halted.
Electronic (e-cbot) markets were not affected and remained open.
