CBOT Ag Complex Breaks Record - Again
The complex traded 976,685 contracts at the exchange Thursday, breaking the previous record for daily volume set a week earlier.

The Chicago Board of Trade agricultural complex set its record Thursday for daily volume trading at 976,685 contracts. The figure surpasses the previous record of 929,546, set only a week before on Oct. 5.
Within the record number, ag futures volume totaled 804,535 contracts, also a new record. The exchange also set new volume records in agricultural futures, agricultural options, and electronically traded ag futures contracts.
The electronic platform, called e-CBOT, traded 274,233 contracts between ag futures and options, breaking the previous record set Tuesday of that week.
