Heavier construction and new technology blend to yield a new commercial small square baler from Case IH in the SB541c.
Boasting heavier hydraulically-controlled side tension rails that provide bias pressure towards the plunger bale-forming area, the SB541c is designed for all-day, all-night baling if necessary. Case IH engineers also replaced the front set of sheet metal hay wedges with cast iron replacements.
Density control on the "c" model is handled by adjusting tension applied to the bale chamber where a faster plunger makes a longer stroke than the 541 predecessor to pack uniform bales in all crop conditions. Another feature of the SB541c is a heavy-duty twine box that accommodates up to eight bales. Other improvements include larger wheels and tires, as well as a choice of clevis or ball-type hitch.
