Beef Group Reorganizes Staff

Three vice-president positions eliminated in Denver.
Compiled by staff
Published: Mar 17, 2008

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association has announced a reorganization that will simplify the organization into the five areas of leadership, marketing and communications, member and corporate services, research and education, and governmental affairs.

"NCBA's mission is to increase profit opportunities for cattle and beef producers by enhancing the business climate and building beef demand," says NCBA Chief Executive Officer Terry Stokes.  "As a reflection of the changing industry, this restructuring occurred at the direction of NCBA's officers to make NCBA efficient and effective at achieving this mission."

Three executive vice-president positions located in Denver have been eliminated. Jay Truitt, Vice President of Government Affairs in Washington, D.C., is leaving the organization to pursue other opportunities. Stokes will fill the Washington position on an interim basis until a replacement is found. The search is underway and interested parties should contact NCBA at (303) 694-0305.
