Good demand and slowly falling transportation costs helped keep basis steady to firm at many locations this week, as markets continue to make the transition from winter to spring factors.
Soybean basis did ease a little in river markets, due to weaker bids at the Gulf. But elsewhere basis was firm, as farmers began raising their sights from $10 cash even higher.
Corn basis also firmed, as futures remained range-bound and farmers for the most part were kept out of the field.
