Argentine Crop Yields Down from Dryness

In the weekly crop report he Argentine Agriculture Secretariat says that despite recent rains that have helped developing corn and beans, yields are expected to be lower in several areas due to dry weather earlier. It was too little, too late according to the Secretariat.

Early corn harvest has begun in Santa Fe province and will soon start in Cordoba, where low yields are expected. Estimates put yields 7% lower in the Pergomino district of the province of Bueno Aires and 30% below last year's yields in Entre Rios.
