Applications Available for R-Calf Scholarship

Three scholarships will be awarded at the R-Calf annual meeting in February 2008.

Graduating high school seniors and students currently attending college are eligible to apply for three scholarships being funded by R-Calf USA's charitable foundation, the United Stockgrowers of America Foundation for Research, Education and Endowment.

A research paper on a threat to the U.S. cattle industry and solution is part of the application process. First place will receive a $2,000 scholarship, second place a $1,500 scholarship and third a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants or an immediate family member must be a member of R-Calf USA.

Applications can be found online at www.r-calfusa.com under the link USA FREE. The deadline for applications to be postmarked is Dec. 31, 2007. The scholarships will be awarded at the 2008 R-Calf convention in Omaha, Neb.
