With interest in the alternative fuels market continuing to grow, the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute and Clean Energy have teamed up to expand the information they provide to help users make vehicle purchasing decisions, AFVI announced Thursday.

The new services include one-day forums connecting regional and national networks, webcasts and newsletters linking fleet professionals with industry leaders, and an enhanced website.

"What we are doing is augmenting the core business that we've developed during the past two decades.  Focused attention on the use of alternative fuels and vehicles that are here today has been a core mission for us," said Annalloyd Thomason, Executive Director of AFVI.  "What's new is that the support from Clean Energy allows us to expand the ways we deliver relevant information to fleets and others. That expansion will be evident during the next several months."

AFVI is an education provider, bringing fleets in need of information together with a national team of fuel and technology neutral experts who can help them find the fuels and vehicles that work for them.

Clean Energy is the largest provider of natural gas for vehicles (CNG and LNG) in North America.
