The new Sunflower 6630 vertical tillage system by Agco is the latest in the company's lineup for conservation tillage tools aimed at getting producers in the field early.
Using patent-pending 22-inch SoilRazor VT disc blades set at an 18 degree angle, the 6630 cuts residue and penetrates deep into the topsoil to allow warming and soil mixing in one pass. The blades are also self-sharpening by design.
Available in five models from 21 feet wide to 32 feet wide, the 6630 has a low horsepower requirement but can run at 8 miles per hour.
Maintenance free plastic bearings eliminate metal-to-metal contact and allow the discs to stay in adjustment to maintain a level field. The 6630 is designed with heavily braced wings, a welded tongue and a single-lip hitch.
